Terms & Conditions

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF CARRIAGE

Adhering to these terms and conditions is a prerequisite for carriage. Not adhering to these terms and conditions explicitly, will indemnify Takura Couriers from any claims due to losses that may be incurred during transportation of goods within our care.
  1. Change
    1. Change will be rounded up or down to the nearest dollar for ease of business.
    2. Change can also be offered to customers in electronic ZWL i.e. ZIPIT, Ecocash at the going rate of the day.
  2. Liability
    1. Takura will pay the full value of goods lost or damaged whilst under our care due to our negligence to a maximum claimable amount of 50USD.
    2. Takura will not be liable for non delivery due to an absent recipient at delivery point.
      1. Client will be notified of absence of delivery receiver and goods returned to client at cost of delivery as agreed upon at acceptance of service.
    3. Takura will not be liable for loss, damage or confistication of goods that may be prohibited in terms of  any law within Zimbabwe.
    4. Takura will not be liable for non-delivery due to any state actors intercepting deliveries or losses thereof.
    5. Takura will not be liable for non-delivery due to Force Majeure situations that may arise.
    6. Packaging
      1. All packaging must be structurally sound enough to maintain internal integrity of all products transported.
      2. Takura will not be liable for any losses or damage that occurs to goods due to poor packaging used during transportation to the recipient.
      3. All food containers must be partitioned internally to compartmentalise food and reduce risk of mixing and movement.
      4. Food containers must be wrapped in cling film and placed in individual brown paper bags where applicable.
    7. Takura will not be liable for any damage, loss or injury that may occur as a result of our delivery after recipient acceptance.
